I one time ever fell in love with this monster. I saw them first on a night market in Singapore but I just left it, wondering what was that actually. The next time I visited Singapore again I saw it and at that time I am curious…After asking and checking then I knew its only a monster grass… it is some kind of soil that is formed into animal like. They put some grass seed on their head and we have to sprinkle it with water and in about 3 days…grass grows on their head… good for children to learn I guess. I planned to have one..I thought I might buy one before I leave. On my last day in Singapore I realize that I have no time to go back to the place that sells the monster, however still I tried to find the way to went there when I found that night market only opens at night…
My friend Aslina…saw the disappointment on my face but still can’t do anything.
Months later I forgot about that monster grass.
On my birthday, a package come from Aslina…well I knew it’s a birthday present and how surprised I am when I found two cute little monster grasses on the package with a card and a pearl necklace… The pearl even still inside the shell and I have to pull out the shell to find the pearl.. Oh she really understands what I want…. I immediately soak the monster for 1 hour to damp the soil.. I never forget to sprinkle some water to their head 3 times a day… The grass start to grow on…I feel like a little child in innocent face watching the grass grows every day..
The monsters are now dead (I mean the grasses no longer grow on their head, they become dry and the monster start moldy because of the damp) so I put them on the garden where other plants start growing….Still I remember how happy I am when receiving something I have always wanted..but I might forget that I really want it… Thank you, Lin!
